Some words sound just like what they mean. Words like gush and mumble for instance. I found some obscure words decribing colour:
Brunneous: Dark brown
Eau-de-nil: Light green (literally, the water of Nile)
Ferruginous: Iron rust coloured
Cesious: Blue gray
